If you need a cheap beer before the bus to the airport, come here. It's an unapologetic little dive on King Street with a pool table, a sad little dance floor, and drinks that run a couple bucks a pop, which in this neighborhood should get you arrested. I've been drifting in since college and the stools are worn the same way I am. The grill food is better than the room, honestly - the cheesesteak slaps and the grinder is worth staying for. Nobody here is performing for you.
We stumbled in at midnight off King Street after a night of sightseeing and just... stayed until they closed at 2. It's loud, it's a bit grimy in the way dive bars get when the tourists finally mix with the regulars, and I didn't expect to feel welcome at a place that cheap. But the bartenders were fast, the cheeseburger was actually good, and there was this mix of old-school locals and COL students who all seemed to exist in separate orbits without anyone making it weird. It calls itself a late-night bar and grill and it actually IS one, no pretense. Go late, order the fries, don't think about it.
