The line is out the door before they open, and once you get in it's a wall-to-wall crowd of tourists and Charleston hipsters piling on oysters, crudos, and po'boys while plates keep arriving fast. The place calls itself a New England-style oyster bar, and you can believe it: the lobster roll is the one you talk yourself into at over thirty dollars and then defend for weeks, because the owners' Nantucket roots turn out to be real. The menu changes daily around whatever came off the docks that morning, from McClellanville up the East Coast, and the wine list leans hard into crisp whites with a serious tequila shelf for people who want to.

One local on Reddit will tell you the whole thing is overpriced and not creative - his oyster po'boy was mostly bread and the chips were straight from a bag - but that grudge review is outnumbered by people who waited half an hour, stayed two hours, and ordered a second round "with abandon" because the staff's good-natured swagger makes you want to. It's a splurge in the best way, and the only way you go wrong is by ordering timidly.
